Survey Reason
Recently, the inspection team received many investors’ phone calls with the hope of more Australia licensed brokers whose real addresses were inconsistent with those declared by the supervision agency exposed. Upon their requests, the investigation staff decided to set forth to the office of the Australia licensed broker ASX to have a clear command of the situation.
Company Building
According to the regulatory information, the address of the Australia licensed company ASX was: Level 5, 16-20 BridGe STreeT, SYDNEY NSW 2000. The investigation staff visited the spot.
They found the time-honored office building as the regulatory information showed without much trouble. Subsequently, they entered the building and didn’t find any information about the broker on the floor guide in the lobby. Later, they came to the 5th floor by elevator, but still didn’t find any information about the broker on the company signage in the corridor. To ensure the quality of the investigation, they circled around the corridor, and noticed that on the floor there were three office areas in total, belonging to Financial and Energy Exchange Limited, Mercari Pty Ltd and FEX Global Pty Ltd respectively. Unluckily, they were unable to photograph the inner parts of the building.
Summary
It has been proved by the on-the-site investigation of the staff that the actual address of the Australia licensed broker ASX is inconsistent with that declared by the supervision agency. As the Investment Advisory License (254514) issued by ASIC that the broker holds shows that it is overrunning.
